Does she want a baby?

Sounds as though she's already pregnant (few non-pregnant women rub their bellies even if they badly want a baby), but that she's too early in her pregnancy to announce it just yet. Typically many wait until after 12 weeks to make the general announcement because the risk of miscarriage before 12 weeks is fairly high but drops dramatically after 12 weeks.
