even with fwb, people tend to develop emotions for one another. he sounded really hurt, but you should make sure he knows its all a misunderstanding, and that you werent purposefully ignoring him. apologize regardless of what did or did not happen though, because misunderstandings suck, and itd just be best to apologize, even if you didnt mean it.
